Today was supposed to be an off day, however the guys came in and skated today.
The writer in Muskegon gave midseason grades to their players. Check it out:

What grades would you give to our players? Please comment. I am really interested in seeing what you have to say.
Good night I am going to bed!

Greg McCauley, Nick Elligsen, and Rick Varone haven't played enough games with Bloomington for me to give them an accurate grade.
The team as a whole I would grade a C. I think they play quite timid at times, and have and issue with being physical against the "top teams" in the IHL. If they played Ft. Wayne, Port Huron, and Muskegon the way they played Dayton, Flint, and QC they would be higher in the standings. In the second half of the season I think if they bring a physical presence every game they will win more games. This is the best team Bloomington has had in the four years it has had a hockey team. I feel there is a lot left to prove, but this team can do it.

I did mine more on excpectations than peformance. I expected Lepine and Holmberg to both have big years and they both have performed way under what I had excpected. Booras got off to a sluggish start but has picked it up as of late.

The foxy ladies draw in a good percentage of the crowd and I don't mind seeing them around the rink. Skalde seems to bring a confident and tough attitude to the team with his experience and demeanor. Kinch is always quick to pass out a fresh stick and I think he is right when he says he deserves an assist on some goals. Martin is clearly our best goalie, but Dahm is starting to play better. Sawyer is playing his role well and Ruwe is stepping it up. Booras and Carroll are playing better. I wish Liambas would get more playing time because he either draws penalties or rattles the other team with his big hits. Holmberg is my least favorite player on the team. He constantly turns the puck over, the way he skates looks so painful, and he gets to much playing time for his production level.

This was tougher than I thought. Team is doing obviously better than last year, but I would feel more comfortable if in 3rd place. We just cant seem to beat those top 3 teams. A few things I will say, Spiller and Ruwe are fantastic stay home D guys, Booras is just now starting to turn it up to the level we saw last year. Liambas adds so much energy, Sawyer would have been graded higher but he has taken some bad penalties.
Any word if Frick is back in the line-up tonight?
